We tell you how we work: tellmeGen is the brand of GENELINK, an authorized health center in Spain, and the interpretation of your data is done by our team of geneticists, bioinformaticians, and medical doctors. We analyze the samples in European laboratories and, with Starter, each person receives 128 reports, free lifetime updates, and DNA Connect. And whenever you want, you can upgrade to Advanced without repeating the test.
For each person, 128 reports: 84 personal traits and 44 wellness reports, in addition to ancestry (93 populations, haplogroups, and Neanderthal DNA) and DNA Connect. Starter does not include health reports, hereditary conditions, or pharmacogenetics, which are in Advanced and Ultra.
Each person registers their kit, takes the sample by rubbing the inside of their cheeks with the swab, and sends it back with the return envelope, at no cost. Results will be in each person's private area between 4 and 6 weeks after the laboratory receives the samples.
Each person has their own account, and their results are only seen by them in their private area. We treat your genetic data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and do not share them with third parties without explicit consent. Check the details in our privacy policy.
We use Illumina technology microarrays, with internal quality controls that include marker repetition, and only markers that pass those controls are used. Variants estimated by imputation are especially reliable when they are frequent. Your results show genetic tendencies, not diagnoses: those related to health should be discussed with a healthcare professional.
