This Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on our Website, what they are for, who manages them, how long they last, and how you can accept, reject, or change your mind at any time. It complements the Privacy Policy, which governs the processing of your personal data.

1. What cookies are

It allows the site to recognize your browser and remember information about your visit, for example your language or that you have already logged in, so you do not have to identify yourself on each page.

1.2 This Policy also refers to other technologies of equivalent purpose, such as pixels, web beacons, and local browser storage. When we talk about cookies, we mean all of them.

3. What we use cookies for and what we do not do with them

3.1 We use them to make the Website work properly, to remember your preferences, to measure how the site is used, and, solely if you consent, to show you advertising tailored to your interests.

3.2 We do not store sensitive information such as your password, your postal address, or your payment details in cookies.

3.3 You can browse the Website without accepting non-necessary cookies. Rejecting them does not prevent you from accessing the site or contracting services, although some personalization functions may be limited.

4. Types of cookies we use

4.1 Depending on who manages them:

•      First-party: managed by us from our own domains.

•      Third-party: managed by another entity that provides us with analysis, advertising, or functionality services incorporated into the Website.

4.2 Depending on how long they last:

•      Session: deleted when closing the browser.

•      Persistent: remain on your device for the period indicated for each one in the preferences panel.

4.3 Depending on what they are for:

•      Technical or necessary: essential for the Website to work. They allow browsing, logging in, accessing private areas, completing an order, maintaining security, and balancing the load of the service. They do not require your consent and cannot be deactivated from the panel, although you can block them in your browser with the consequent loss of functionality.

•      Preferences or personalization: remember options like language, country, or display configuration.

•      Analysis or measurement: allow us to count visits, know traffic sources, and understand how the Website is used to improve it. They require your consent.

•      Behavioral advertising: record your browsing behavior to show you ads adjusted to your interests, here or on other sites. They require your consent.

5. What specific cookies this Website installs

5.1 The detailed and updated list of the cookies we use — with their name, their owner, their purpose, their type, and their duration — is permanently available in the cookie preferences panel, accessible permanently from the website footer.

5.2 That list is generated and updated automatically every time the cookies present on the site change, so that it always reflects the real situation. You can consult it before deciding and at any subsequent moment.

5.3 If you detect a cookie that does not appear described, write to us at dpo@tellmegen.com and we will review it.

6. Legal basis and how we ask for your consent

6.1 The installation and reading of non-necessary cookies require your prior consent, in accordance with information society services regulations. The subsequent processing of personal data obtained through them is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and is explained in the Privacy Policy.

6.2 Technical or necessary cookies do not require consent because they are essential to provide the service you request.

6.3 When you enter the Website for the first time, we show you a panel in which you can, with the same ease and at the same level, accept all cookies, reject them all, or configure them by categories. Rejecting is as simple as accepting and requires no additional steps.

6.4 Until you decide, no cookies other than the necessary ones are installed. Closing the notice without choosing does not equal accepting, nor does continuing to browse.

7. How to change or withdraw your consent

7.1 You can modify or withdraw your consent at any time from the cookie preferences panel, permanently accessible from the footer. Withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.

7.2 The withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before withdrawing it.

7.3 After withdrawing consent, the affected cookies stop being installed. Those already installed can be deleted from your browser in accordance with section 8.

8. How to manage cookies from your browser

8.1 In addition to the panel, you can allow, block, or delete cookies installed on your device from your browser settings. You will find the instructions on the help pages of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Opera.

8.2 Please note that blocking cookies in the browser is not the same as withdrawing your consent on our Website: they are different mechanisms, and we recommend using the preferences panel so that your decision remains registered.

8.3 If you block the necessary cookies, some parts of the Website may stop working properly.

9. Third parties involved

9.1 For measurement functions and, if you consent, advertising functions, we share certain information with specialized providers, including Google, who act in accordance with their own policies and Google's EU user consent policy.

9.2 You can check on Google's privacy and terms page how it uses information from sites that employ its services.

9.3 The identity of each third party, its purpose, and the link to its policy appear next to the corresponding cookie in the preferences panel.

9.4 These third parties do not receive data from your sample, your genetic analysis, or the content of your reports under any circumstances.

10. Retention and renewal of consent

10.1 Each cookie has its own duration, indicated in the preferences panel. Session ones are deleted when closing the browser and persistent ones expire within the period indicated for each one.

10.2 Your decision regarding cookies is kept for a maximum of 13 months. Once that period has elapsed, we will request your consent again. We will also request it again if the purposes change or if we incorporate third parties other than those informed.

10.3 Personal data obtained through cookies are kept for the periods indicated in the Privacy Policy and, afterwards, are blocked or deleted.

11. International transfers

11.1 Generally, data obtained through cookies are processed by providers located in the European Economic Area or in countries with an adequacy decision from the European Commission.

11.2 When a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area without an adequacy decision, we apply the European Commission's standard contractual clauses together with the impact assessment and the necessary complementary measures.

11.3 The specific destinations of each provider and the applied guarantees are identified in the cookie preferences panel. You can request additional information about those guarantees at dpo@tellmegen.com.

11.4 tellmeGen does not sell personal data of its customers to third parties.

12. Your rights

12.1 You can exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection regarding the data obtained through cookies by writing to lopd@tellmegen.com, under the terms and deadlines of the Privacy Policy.

12.2 You can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or with the control authority of your country of residence.

13. Changes to this Policy

13.1 We can update this Policy when the cookies used, the third parties involved, the technology, or the applicable regulations change. Each version has a code and a date.

13.2 You can request the version history at dpo@tellmegen.com.

13.3 If the change affects the purposes or incorporates new third parties, we will request your consent again before installing the corresponding cookies.
