Yes, you can find out both your paternal haplogroup and your maternal haplogroup by uploading your Raw Data to tellmeGen.
- Paternal haplogroup: If you upload your Raw Data, you will be able to access your paternal haplogroup, but please note that this can only be determined if you are male, as the paternal haplogroup is extracted from the Y chromosome. If you are not male, you will need another male member of your family (your father or brother) to take the test to obtain this information.
- Maternal haplogroup: You will also be able to find out your maternal haplogroup by uploading your Raw Data, provided the file is compatible with our systems. However, if you have uploaded a free Raw Data file, you will only have access to ancestry results (population percentages); to see the haplogroups, you will need to purchase one of our paid products.
