How do I register Duo or Family genetic tests?

Updated on

The Duo and Family genetic tests are designed as a cost-effective option for those purchasing more than one test. The Duo pack contains two individual tests, while the Family pack contains three, at a lower price than if they were purchased separately.

Regardless of the pack you have purchased, the sample collection can be done using swabs, with a funnel and saliva tube, or using a drying bag. There are three different formats for obtaining the saliva sample, depending on the kit received.

When following the registration process, each DNA kit must be registered with a different email account. Once you finish registering one of the tests, you must log out and repeat the operation for the other tests. If you have trouble logging out, try repeating the process from other browsers or using incognito mode.

If you have questions regarding the registration and creation of each account (remember that you need to create two accounts for the Duo and three accounts for the Family), we also explain how you can create an account.

Regarding step 1 of registering a Duo or Family test, it is important to note that each tube, along with its two corresponding swabs for a single sample, must be placed into the cardboard box. Then, place this box inside the plastic bag.

Regarding step 2 of the registration, each test must be registered independently and with a different email account. At the end of each registration process, each email will receive a different shipping label. When preparing the shipping bag, it is sufficient to use only one of the labels received—any of them. The remaining labels can be discarded.

A specific feature of these products (Duo and Family) is that the DNA tests are contained in a single box and are sent back together in a single shipping bag. This means that, regardless of the pack purchased and the individual tests it contains, the samples can only be sent together in the same package. If the samples need to be sent from more than one different location, the tests must be purchased individually.
