The tellmeGen genetic analysis offers a wide variety of results organized into different categories so that the information is easily understandable. The included items cover:
- Genetic vulnerability to health conditions: more than 105 pathologies analyzed.
- Hereditary conditions: includes more than 100 hereditary conditions.
- Pharmacological compatibility: information on more than 95 medication options and how they interact with your genetics.
- Personal traits: details about your physical and physiological characteristics.
- Wellness: recommendations on nutrition and physical performance.
- Ancestry: study of your geographical origin with more than 90 populations analyzed.
However, it is important to note that tellmeGen's Starter and Advanced genetic analyses are not diagnostic tools and do not include:
- The detection of specific genetic diseases related to family or personal history (if you have this need, it is recommended to consult a medical professional).
- The analysis of complete gene duplications or deletions, chromosomal rearrangements, translocations, or mosaicism.
- The analysis of trisomies or other aneuploidies (such as trisomy 21, which causes Down syndrome) or nullisomies.
- The analysis of all genetic variants in a chromosomal region, since the technology used is based on the analysis of SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms), which does not cover all possible variants, but does cover the most relevant ones.
The genotyping technology focuses on detecting a significant percentage of the most important genetic variants, although it does not cover all possible variants within a gene.
