Through Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), your entire genome is analyzed—approximately 3 billion base pairs—with an average coverage of 30x. This means that each position of your DNA is read about 30 times on average, allowing for the detection of common, rare, and structural genetic variants (such as deletions, insertions, duplications, rearrangements, and tandem repeats) with superior precision compared to genotyping-based tests.
The Ultra WGS (30x) test includes all the information from the Starter and Advanced tests, and provides:
- Hereditary conditions (monogenic): discover if you are a carrier or if you have relevant genetic variants in genes of known clinical impact.
- Genetic vulnerability to complex conditions: estimates your genetic predisposition to diseases influenced by multiple factors, providing preventive recommendations based on clinical guidelines.
- Personal traits and wellness: get information about your physical characteristics (eye color, hair type) and aspects related to sports, sleep, and various clinical parameters.
