You can download your raw data from your Ultra WGS DNA test (30x) results up to 3 times per year free of charge. Once this limit has been reached, each additional download has a fee of €4.99/USD or the equivalent in your local currency.
Which files are included in my downloads?
In the downloads section of your tellmeGen account, you will find different technical formats representing different levels of DNA processing. Here is a brief guide to help you understand what each one is:
- FASTQ: These are the files that contain the “raw” data generated directly by the sequencing machine. They are the starting point for any analysis.
- CRAM: This is a compressed and efficient format that contains DNA sequences already aligned against a reference genome. It is ideal for advanced users who need to perform technical analyses on specific genomic regions without handling the massive volume of FASTQ files.
- VCF (Variant Call Format): This is the standard in bioinformatics for storing genetic variations. It contains the differences found in your genome when compared with the reference genome, such as single nucleotide polymorphisms, insertions or deletions.
- MyVariants and MyVariants Ultra (CSV): These are CSV files generated specifically to make your data easier to read. They contain a detailed list of your genetic variants, making them ideal if you wish to explore your results in programs such as Excel or Google Sheets, or easily carry out your own statistical analyses.
